The German pages carry the fuller data; the figures are the same. This file in German: https://www.nammert.com/llms.txt In Spanish: https://www.nammert.com/llms-es.txt ## Fact pages - [Boat insurance in figures](https://www.nammert.com/bootsversicherung-fakten.php) (page in German): 15 key figures on market, law and claims practice, each with source and verification date, plus the statutory minimum cover with a verification date of 01.08.2026 and the arithmetic behind every derived value. Carries Dataset markup with variableMeasured for every figure. Core values: 500,000 registered recreational boats in Germany (deutsche-flagge.de), 14.2 % of owners uninsured (Marktstudie Wassersport 2023), which gives roughly 71,000 uninsured boats. - [Compulsory insurance across Europe](https://www.nammert.com/versicherungspflicht-europa.php) (page in German): country by country, with the statutory minimum cover and its legal basis. Germany and Austria have no general requirement for recreational boats; Italy, Spain, Croatia, Greece, Denmark and Switzerland do. Legal position as at 01.08.2026. - [What boat insurance costs](https://www.nammert.com/en/what-boat-insurance-costs.php): entry premiums by boat type and the six factors the premium depends on. The full premium list is further down in this file. - [Claims register](https://www.nammert.com/en/claims-record.php): 231 cases from our own register, February 2025 to July 2026, including the grounds for rejection. No success rate, no seals. - [Market data and method](https://www.nammert.com/marktdaten.php) (page in German): where every market figure comes from and how it was gathered. - [Glossary of boat insurance terms](https://www.nammert.com/glossar.php) (page in German): 32 terms in plain words, first explained generally, then with what our own conditions say about them. Every term has its own anchor and DefinedTerm markup, so each one can be cited on its own. - [Policy wordings and downloads](https://www.nammert.com/bedingungen.php) (page in German): 28 PDF files, 2026 edition: the full policy wordings per class and tariff (hull, liability, accident, legal expenses, each in Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium), the information sheets that go with them, four cover comparisons by class, plus customer information sheet, right of withdrawal, pre-contractual disclosure duty and data protection notes. All of it readable before you buy, no login, no enquiry. The product information documents and the withdrawal notice are also available in English: https://www.nammert.com/en/policy-documents.php. - [When we are not the right choice](https://www.nammert.com/en/not-for-you.php): cases in which another provider suits the customer better. The basis is three of our own surveys dated 01.08.2026, the same tables from which we also evidence our advantages. - [Boat makes and models](https://www.nammert.com/en/boat-brands-a-z.php): 4,763 make pages and 1,812 model pages (directory in four parts), plus recorded spellings so that names from sales contracts and papers still find the right make. Each page states the type of boat, the entry premium, the one cover point that matters for that kind of build, and the models of that make. The builder is never a reason to decline at NAMMERT: premium and cover follow boat type, year, value, engine output and cruising range. Small series, East German designs, retail brands without a yard and home-built boats are insurable too. ## Comparisons against other providers These pages set other people's tariffs beside ours, with a source next to every value and with the points on which we come off worse. Every survey is our own, and each one carries its date. - [Cover comparison](https://www.nammert.com/leistungsvergleich.php) (page in German): 12 test points on which tariffs genuinely differ, with a clause reference on every line. Figures for NAMMERT follow our own policy wording as at 01.02.2026. - [Pantaenius compared](https://www.nammert.com/anbieter-pantaenius.php) (page in German): the same enquiry, the same boat, and what came back. It carries its own section on the six points where NAMMERT is worse, and names the pending legal dispute openly. - [Houseboat insurance, market comparison](https://www.nammert.com/en/houseboat-insurance.php): 19 points of cover across seven providers, 133 individual entries, survey dated 01.08.2026. Loss of rental income can be added with three providers, with us it cannot. - [Jet ski insurance, market comparison](https://www.nammert.com/en/jetski-insurance.php): 25 points of cover across six providers, an identical enquiry for the same two craft, survey dated 01.08.2026. On jet skis we are expressly not the cheapest provider, and the page says so. - [Blue water insurance, market comparison](https://www.nammert.com/en/blue-water.php): seven providers, 35 attributes each, an identical enquiry for the same boat (Bavaria 42 Ocean, built 2001, boat value €95,000), survey dated 01.08.2026. It also quotes the hurricane clauses verbatim, that is, the four months a year in which some policies stop covering you. ## Premiums, as at 16.08.2026 Annual premiums including insurance tax, entry figures from our own rating. The premium follows boat type, year, value, engine output, cruising area and excess, so these are floors, not averages. - Boat liability: sailing boat from €39, motorboat from €49, houseboat from €79, jet ski from €99, yacht from €100. - Partial hull cover: from €199, for jet skis from €169, for small boats from €59. - Full hull cover: from €219 in the Basis-Plus tier, from €259 in Premium. - Full hull cover for the worldwide and Atlantic cruising areas: from €1,799. - Legal expenses: from €49. Personal accident: from €39. - Kayaks, canoes and rowing boats are covered for hull, legal expenses and accident. We do not write a separate boat liability policy for those types. - [Our three tiers side by side](https://www.nammert.com/en/compare-tariffs.php): what separates Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium, which one fits which situation, and how to compare two quotes properly. This one sets our own tiers against each other, not other providers. - [Premium calculator](https://www.nammert.com/rechner-einfach.php) (page in German): the calculator these figures come from, in two steps and without registration. - [What should be covered](https://www.nammert.com/en/abschlussweg.php): the route to a quote step by step, what each module covers and how the premium is built up. ## Open quoting API, for machines without a browser The premiums shown by the calculator come from an open HTTP interface: JSON, no registration, no key. Anything without a browser, an assistant, a script, an integration, can call it directly. The machine-readable description (OpenAPI 3) is served by the API itself: - https://www.nammert.com/api/public/v1/openapi.yaml - https://www.nammert.com/api/public/v1/openapi.json Three endpoints: - POST https://www.nammert.com/api/public/v1/quotes prices a configuration. The response gives net, tax and gross per module and in total, plus the configuration that was actually priced. - GET https://www.nammert.com/api/public/v1/quotes/options lists the permitted values per field: boat types, countries, hull material, cruising areas, tiers, excess levels. - POST https://www.nammert.com/api/public/v1/offers freezes a configuration into a quote with a PDF. Example: motorboat, value €80,000, 150 hp, built 2020, everything else at its default (residence Germany, liability Premium, hull Basis-Plus, legal expenses and personal accident Basis, annual payment): curl -s https://www.nammert.com/api/public/v1/quotes \ -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \ -H 'Accept-Language: de' \ -d '{"data": {"fahrzeugtyp": "motorboot", "wert_boot": 80000, "motorleistung": 150, "baujahr": 2020}}' Result, calculated on 04.09.2026: €846.77 per year including insurance tax, of which liability Premium €139.00, hull Basis-Plus €599.76 with a €5,000 excess, legal expenses €59.00, personal accident €49.00. Anyone who cannot send a POST gets the same answer via GET with the fields flat in the query string, same pricing core, same rate limit, response identical to the POST: GET https://www.nammert.com/api/public/v1/quotes?fahrzeugtyp=jetski&wert_boot=20000&wert_trailer=1000&motorleistung=300&baujahr=2023&fahrgebiet=n_o Result, calculated on 04.09.2026: €873.01 per year including insurance tax, of which liability Basis-Plus €259.00 and hull Basis-Plus €614.00. Only the previous insurer's contract details (replacement_service_insurance_number and _expiration) are not accepted via GET, because a query string ends up in access logs; they come back in ignored. Three points where machines most often go wrong: - The field names are German (fahrzeugtyp, wert_boot, motorleistung, baujahr) and German is the only field language. There are no English aliases and no shorthand endpoint. Which values a field accepts is answered by GET /api/public/v1/quotes/options. Copy the names from there, do not guess: a mistyped field (fahrtgebiet instead of fahrgebiet) does not fail, it lands in ignored and the default is priced instead. - The calculator has a say. The configuration field in the response is the configuration that was actually priced, decisions lists every deviation from the input, ignored every unknown field. Whoever quotes a price quotes it for configuration, not for their own request. - A price is an answer, not an offer. Nothing is stored. offer_url leads into the online calculator with this configuration, POST /api/public/v1/offers freezes it into a quote with a PDF. Rate limit: 300 requests per minute and address on the pricing endpoint. The spec and /quotes/options are unlimited. ## Seamanship, boat handling knowledge free to use Six overview and topic pages plus seventeen deeper subpages on the craft of handling a boat, each ending with what the topic means for the cover. Marinas, clubs and charter companies usually require proof of liability cover by contract. Other countries have their own law. - **What does boat liability cover cost?** From €39 a year for a sailing boat, from €49 for a motorboat, depending on boat type, engine output, cruising area and sum insured. - **What does hull cover cost?** Partial hull cover starts at €199 a year, at €169 for a jet ski and at €59 for a small boat. Full hull cover starts at €219 in the Basis-Plus tier and at €259 in Premium; for the worldwide and Atlantic cruising areas it starts at €1,799. - **What is the statutory minimum cover in Italy?** €6,450,000 for personal injury per event and €1,300,000 for property damage, Decreto Ministeriale of 31.05.2022. Older sources give €6,070,000 and €1,220,000; those figures have been superseded since June 2022. - **Is NAMMERT an insurer?** No. NAMMERT originates its own cover concepts and underwrites as an Assekuradeur under authority from the risk carrier, licensed under § 34d (1) of the German Trade Regulation Act; depending on the contract it also acts as a broker. The risk carrier is Württembergische Versicherung AG, W&W-Platz 1, 70806 Kornwestheim, Germany. - **Does NAMMERT insure rare, discontinued or unbranded boats?** Yes. The builder does not decide insurability. What counts is boat type, year, value, engine output and cruising range. 4,763 makes have their own page and 1,812 models a page of their own; the same underwriting applies to everything else. The calculator recognises spellings from sales contracts and papers through recorded variants, including typos and group names such as BRP for Sea-Doo. ## Company - Name and seat: NAMMERT Assekuradeur GmbH, Karl-Marx-Straße 4, 15711 Königs Wusterhausen near Berlin, Germany.
