Making a claim

What happens after you report
Report online, by email or by telephone. Outside office hours there is an emergency number: +49 3375 / 566 75 05. A person answers, no bot, no voice menu.
We run our own claims department rather than passing the file to an insurer's central office. That is the reason for the timescale: where the facts are clear and the documents complete, payment follows within 48 hours.
Surveyors and yards
We work with a fixed set of surveyors, so the person who inspects your boat knows our terms. Around 2,000 partner yards worldwide handle repair and salvage; which matters most when the damage happens somewhere without a marine industry.
Photographs by WhatsApp are usually enough to start. For larger damage a surveyor attends; you do not have to organise that yourself.

Racing and training insurable, the only provider in our own survey. Agreed value, seasonal policy, liability up to €50 million.
Houseboat insurance from Germany
No maintenance clauses, no radius limit around the berth, waiver of the gross negligence defence up to 50 per cent; and we are the most expensive provider in our own survey.
Blue-water and long-distance cover
Genuinely worldwide, no hurricane or cyclone exclusion clauses, single-handed sailing and unwatched anchoring covered, berth anywhere in the world.
Compare our tariffs
Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium differ in sums insured, agreed value, gross negligence, salvage limits, the liability bail loan and assistance. Legal expenses cover carries its €200,000 bail loan in all three levels.
Switching to NAMMERT
