Compare our tariffs
Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium differ in sums insured, agreed value, gross negligence, salvage limits, the liability bail loan and assistance. Legal expenses cover carries its €200,000 bail loan in all three levels.
This page is a summary in English. Policy wording and terms are issued in German and prevail in case of doubt.
What separates the tariffs
Liability cover rises from €10m in Basis to €50m in Premium, and the same applies to pollution. Salvage costs are covered up to the sum insured in Basis, up to €1m in Basis-Plus and up to €2.5m in Premium, wreck removal included.
Gross negligence is covered up to 25 per cent of the sum insured in Basis-Plus and up to 50 per cent in Premium. Premium adds an unlimited agreed value, a liability bail loan up to €200,000 (Basis-Plus: €50,000), breakdown assistance, inspection costs, a holiday extension of up to six weeks, travel and medical assistance and a cash service after robbery abroad.
What every tariff includes
An all-risks approach in comprehensive hull cover, no new-for-old deductions, trailer and dinghy in the liability section, salvage and wreck removal, the international certificate of insurance in ten languages, a starting no-claims discount of 40 per cent in Basis-Plus and Premium and our price guarantee.
None of our tariffs contains hurricane or cyclone exclusion clauses, and commercial charter use can be added in any of them.
Frequently asked questions
Which tariff do you recommend?
For inland waters and modest values Basis-Plus with comprehensive cover is usually enough. For yachts, blue-water cruising, charter use or berths outside the EU we recommend Premium.
Can I change tariff later?
Yes, we can adjust the tariff, sums insured, cruising range and deductible during the policy period; a phone call is enough.
Is there a price guarantee?
Yes. If you find the same cover cheaper elsewhere we refund the difference for the duration of the policy, up to one year.

No maintenance clauses, no radius limit around the berth, waiver of the gross negligence defence up to 50 per cent; and we are the most expensive provider in our own survey.

Switching to NAMMERT
We cancel your old policy free of charge, you start at the highest no-claims discount of 40 per cent and you pay only once the old contract has expired, plus a permanent switching discount.
