Switching to NAMMERT
We cancel your old policy free of charge, you start at the highest no-claims discount of 40 per cent and you pay only once the old contract has expired, plus a permanent switching discount.

How the switch works
We need your previous insurer, the policy number and your signature on the broker mandate. We then handle the cancellation free of charge and make sure there is neither double insurance nor a gap in cover; the notice period is usually three months before renewal.
You pay only once the old contract has expired, and you receive a permanent switching discount, not just a first-year rebate. You start at the highest no-claims discount of 40 per cent anyway, with or without a confirmation from your previous insurer.
Special cancellation rights
A right of early cancellation exists among other things when the boat is sold, after a premium increase and after a claim. If you sell the boat, a copy of the bill of sale is sufficient and any credit balance is transferred to your account.

Do you handle the cancellation?
Yes, free of charge; it takes about three minutes and avoids both double payment and a gap in cover.
What is the notice period?
Usually three months before the renewal date; special cancellation rights apply for example on sale of the boat.
Do I keep my no-claims discount?
The question does not arise with us. In the Basis-Plus and Premium hull tariffs you start at the highest no-claims discount of 40 per cent, with or without a confirmation from your previous insurer. Houseboats and small boats are excluded.
