Is single-handed sailing covered?
Yes. Many providers exclude single-handed passages or charge a surcharge; with us they are included in the blue-water cover.
Am I covered while anchored without a watch?
Yes; anchoring off an open coast without a watch is covered, which is exactly where several competitors withdraw cover.
Can older or lower-value yachts be insured?
Yes. We also insure yachts over 25 years old or with a market value below €80,000, in steel, aluminium or GRP, including catamarans and trimarans.
What happens in hurricane season?
Nothing changes: we have no hurricane or cyclone exclusion clauses, so there are no extra securing obligations such as additional lashing, more fenders or unstepping the mast.
