We will sort it
Three steps and you're back on the plane
Sail area, not price tag
Dinghies are rated on sail area rather than purchase price. The square metres are on the class certificate, add the boat's value and that's it.
Decide on the slipway
Happy with the figure? Sort it online. Rather talk it through? Ring us and someone who sails walks you through it, no bot, no call centre.
We're in your corner
Report a claim to us directly. We line up the surveyor and a partner yard and keep at it until it's settled.
Plain numbers, no small print

Frequently asked questions
Is boat insurance compulsory?
Not in Germany. In Italy, Spain, Croatia (from 15 kW), Greece, Denmark and on Swiss waters liability cover for your dinghy (sailing) is required by law, and many marinas ask for proof as well. Our tariffs meet the minimum limits and the international certificate of insurance is available in ten languages.
What does a dinghy (sailing) policy cost?
For your dinghy (sailing), liability starts at roughly €39 a year, partial hull cover from €199 and full hull cover from €219. The premium depends on value, engine power, year of build and cruising area, the online calculator gives you an exact figure in minutes.
Can my berth be outside Germany?
Yes. Simply state the berth of your dinghy (sailing) in the application; with NAMMERT it does not have to be in Germany, and for blue-water cover it does not even have to be in Europe.
How do I report a claim?
Report it online in the customer portal or call us. As an underwriting agency with claims-settlement authority we assess, survey and settle claims on your dinghy (sailing) ourselves, which keeps the process short.
