Ship insurance: All hands on deck. Ours too.
On a traditional ship it is all hands on deck, and ours are on it too: a concept tailored to your ship, designed in-house, and a real person on the phone who knows hulls and engines.
- A concept tailored to your ship
- Designed in-house, no detours
- Five minutes on the phone, then clarity
Paperwork, waiting, hold music
Three steps, then the deck belongs to the crew again
Tell us about your ship
Hull, engine, crew and where she sails. A phone call is plenty to get started, the paperwork can follow later.
An honest chat, not a form
We talk about yard and maintenance before we put a figure on it, and tell you straight whether we are the right partner.
Designed in-house
As an underwriting agency we design the cover ourselves and take your file straight to the risk carrier, with no detour via a head office. If we are not the right fit, we point you on.
Plain numbers, no small print
What does peace of mind on board cost?
A ship with a story does not fit on a slider. Any flat figure would be a guess, so we talk first and do the maths afterwards.
The price of a good feeling
A phone call. Then we work with your ship's actual details instead of guessing a figure.
Arranged by NAMMERT as underwriting agency and insurance broker.
This is what it is for
Friends on deck, crew on the lines
A guest at the wheel, laughter at the rail, a sunny break in harbour with the ropes coiled. We will take care of the paperwork.

Frequently asked questions
Is boat insurance compulsory?
Not in Germany. In Italy, Spain, Croatia (from 15 kW), Greece, Denmark and on Swiss waters liability cover for your ship is required by law, and many marinas ask for proof as well. Our tariffs meet the minimum limits and the international certificate of insurance is available in ten languages.
What does a ship policy cost?
For your ship, liability starts at roughly €39 a year, partial hull cover from €199 and full hull cover from €219. The premium depends on value, engine power, year of build and cruising area, the online calculator gives you an exact figure in minutes.
Can my berth be outside Germany?
Yes. Simply state the berth of your ship in the application; with NAMMERT it does not have to be in Germany, and for blue-water cover it does not even have to be in Europe.
How do I report a claim?
Report it online in the customer portal or call us. As an underwriting agency we assess, survey and prepare claims on your ship ourselves, which keeps the process short.
