Welcome aboard, boat and yacht insurance from Germany.
Insured on every water.
Inland lakes, the Baltic, the Med, the Atlantic; one policy, cover written to the water you actually sail.
And when something happens, your claim is settled by the same house that sold you the policy: we are an underwriting agent with our own binding and claims authority; nothing handed on to an insurer, no waiting on someone else's decision.
NAMMERT is a German underwriting agency (Assekuradeur) specialising in boat and yacht insurance since 1989. We underwrite and settle claims ourselves; liability from around €39 a year, hull cover at replacement value with an agreed value clause, policy issued the same day.
This English page is a summary. Policy wording, terms and conditions are issued in German and prevail in case of doubt.

Our worldwide cruising range means what it says: no time limits, no geographical restrictions and no hurricane or cyclone exclusion clauses. Single-handed sailing is covered, as is lying at anchor off an open coast without a watch on board.
Your berth does not have to be in Europe. We also accept yachts older than 25 years or with a market value below €80,000; both are common grounds for refusal elsewhere. Steel, aluminium and GRP hulls, catamarans and trimarans are all insurable.
Where local rules require proof of insurance; Italy, Croatia, Denmark, Spain; our policies meet the minimum limits, and the international certificate of insurance is issued automatically in ten languages through your online account.

Frequently asked
Can I insure with NAMMERT if I live outside Germany?
We serve owners across Germany, Austria and Spain, and your berth may be anywhere in the world. For other places of residence please call us; we will tell you honestly whether we can write the risk.
Is insurance compulsory?
Not on German waters, but you remain personally liable for damage you cause. Italy, Croatia, Denmark and Spain do require third-party liability cover; Italy with minimum limits of €6,070,000 for personal injury and €1,220,000 for property damage.
What is an agreed value clause?
The value stated in the policy is paid in the event of a total loss, without deduction for age or use. In the premium tariff it applies without limit and can be adjusted at any time; partial losses are settled without "new for old" deductions.
How do I report a claim?
Online through your customer account, or by phone on +49 3375 / 566 75 05. As an underwriting agency we assess and settle claims ourselves; the premium tariff adds a 24/7 hotline, towing, spare parts sourcing and interpreter services.
