Porsche Versicherungs AG: cancelling, claims and complaints

Porsche Versicherungs Aktiengesellschaft has its head office in Salzburg, Austria. The Austrian Financial Market Authority FMA lists it as an insurance company with company register number 64820z. This page explains where your cancellation goes, the notice periods under Austrian law, how to report a claim and where to complain.

How to cancel with Porsche Versicherungs AG

Send the cancellation to the address on your policy. If none is given, the head office is right:

Porsche Versicherungs Aktiengesellschaft
Vogelweiderstraße 75
5020 Salzburg
Austria

Open-ended contracts can be ended by either side only at the end of the current insurance period; the notice is set in the policy and lies between one and three months (section 8(2) of the Austrian Insurance Contract Act, VersVG). A consumer who signed for more than three years may cancel at the end of the third year and each later year with one month's notice (section 8(3) VersVG).

Give your policy number, your name and the date, and ask for confirmation of receipt.

Reporting a claim to Porsche Versicherungs AG

  1. Report the loss as early as you can; policy conditions almost always require prompt notice.
  2. Keep the damage as small as is reasonable and do not throw anything away before the insurer has seen it.
  3. Collect photos, receipts and names of witnesses; for burglary and theft you also need a police report.
  4. Keep your policy number at hand.

Phone and website from the register; your policy takes precedence.

Complaints about Porsche Versicherungs AG

The complaints office does not list Porsche Versicherungs AG separately in its 2025 report: companies with less than one per cent of complaints are grouped as "other".

Where to complain

Write to the insurer first. If that does not help, the insurance complaints office at the Ministry of Social Affairs accepts complaints about insurers; the FMA checks whether a company keeps to supervisory rules but does not decide individual cases. If the insurer rejects a claim in writing, a one year deadline to go to court can start (section 12(3) VersVG).

What Porsche Versicherungs AG is licensed to insure

According to the register the company is licensed for 5 classes:

  • 01 Accident (limited to …)
  • 03 Land vehicles (comprehensive) (limited to …)
  • 16 Miscellaneous financial loss
  • 17 Legal expenses (limited to …)
  • 18 Assistance
