Written from the desk of a German underwriting agency: how claims actually get handled, what the small print in a boat policy is doing, and figures we gathered ourselves, with the source named.

Bordfunk: The podcast about what the small print says Each episode takes one question from claims practice. It is published in German, so the episode pages are German only; this page lists what we publish in English. Bordfunk is published in German.

Your host: Theo von Nammert Theo feels at home on anything that floats: a fast motorboat in the morning, a dinghy in the afternoon, and any cruising yacht with a free berth at the weekend. Planing or beating to windward, as long as there is water under the hull. He started Bordfunk because he had stood on the pontoon often enough without knowing what the small print said. So he visits the people who deal with it every day, crane operators, boatbuilders, harbour masters, and asks the questions owners ask, wind and engine noise included. The episodes are in German.
