What we do not see, you do

An insurer sees boats from one side only: when something is broken. From our own book and decades of claim files we know fairly precisely where it gets expensive and why. What we do not see is the ordinary day: what a berth costs in your harbour, which patch of water every local avoids and every visitor finds, why you bought this particular boat.

Hence these four ways in. They cost nothing, they need no account, and you do not have to be insured with us.

How this works

No account, no password, no profile. And nothing appears that a person here has not read first.

1You fill in a short form. We do need an email address, for queries and to tell you when your contribution is up.

2The submission arrives here as an email and goes nowhere else. There is no live channel and nothing is published automatically.

3A person in the office reads it, checks it and adds what belongs to it technically. If something is unclear we write to you.

4Then it goes on the page, without your name. And it comes down again as soon as you say so.

Why the detour: We are an underwriting agency. Whatever stands on this website is read as a statement from an insurer, even when somebody else wrote it. One wrong sentence about cover costs real money after a loss. That is why there is no forum and no comment column here, but four narrow channels we can actually work through.

Reading in English, and what else there is

A sailing yacht raises different questions from a motor boat, and a jet ski different ones again. The English pages are sorted the same way, by type of boat and by cruising area.

Two things that have been running longer

The industry pages collect what happens in the recreational boating trade, with a named source under every item. The magazine says what it means for an owner.
