Cruising area and position
How far is it to the edge of your cover?
Cruising areas appear in the policy as degrees of latitude and longitude, not as country names. Enter the degrees from your policy, fetch your position, and the page tells you how far it is to the nearest edge. None of it leaves your device.
1 · Your cruising area
Or enter the degrees from your policy. North and east positive, south and west negative.
2 · Your position
The browser asks your permission. Without it nothing happens, and you can also type the values in.
Finding
Position missingFetch your position or enter latitude and longitude. Without both, the distance cannot be calculated.
What this page is not
It replaces neither navigation nor a look at the contract. What is calculated is the distance to the edge of a rectangle of degrees; real cruising areas have exceptions, such as excluded coastal strips or restricted zones. What governs is always the text of your policy, not this display.
Position and degrees stay in your browser, they are neither stored nor sent. If you want to extend the boundary, do it before you cast off: under way an extension is difficult and sometimes no longer possible at all.
