Aqualine; cover, cost and conditions
Aqualine is the boat brand of the B1 manufactory in Werder an der Havel: trailerable GRP cabin boats of around 5 to 7.5 metres, hand-laminated hull, fitted out to customer specification. Because each boat is built individually, no Aqualine is the same as another, and that is precisely the decisive point for insurance.
With hand-built boats, the dispute after a loss is almost always about value. Two boats with the same hull number can be 15,000 euros apart if one has a teak deck, an auxiliary heater and made-to-measure upholstery. Enter the optional equipment together with the purchase contract or the invoice from the manufactory, and the sum insured is documented rather than a matter for negotiation.
Trailerable boats bring a second risk that many people overlook: transport. Craning, launching and travel on the trailer are included in the hull insurance at NAMMERT, the trailer itself is not. It runs through the motor third-party liability of the towing vehicle or through separate trailer cover.
The 550 Hybrid Adventure runs with an additional electric bow motor. For insurance purposes both drives count together: report the total output, not only the combustion engine, otherwise the engine power is underinsured.

Frequent questions
Is Aqualine the same as the Talamex Aqualine inflatable boats?
No. The Aqualine cabin boats come from Werder an der Havel and measure between 5 and 7.5 metres. Talamex offers an inflatable boat series of the same name from 2 to 3.5 metres. For premium and cover these are two completely different boats, so check the type of boat in the calculator.
How do I insure optional equipment from the manufactory?
With the invoice or the purchase contract from the manufactory. Everything listed there belongs in the sum insured. If the document is missing, the current market value of a series-built boat applies in the event of a claim, and for hand-built boats that is considerably lower.
Does the electric bow motor of the Hybrid Adventure count towards the engine power?
Yes, both drives together. Report the total output in kW, otherwise the engine power in the contract is incorrect and the hull insurance may reduce the payment proportionally.
