Sessa Marine builds sports boats and motor yachts between 6 and 20 metres in northern Italy, the Key Largo range as open daycruisers, the C and Fly models with a cabin. The boats are designed for the Mediterranean and are mostly kept there in a berth, not trailered. This shifts the focus of claims: storm in the harbour, damage caused by neighbouring boats, sinking at the pontoon.

For boats in a Mediterranean berth, the storm season in autumn is the relevant risk. Storm from wind force 8 is covered in the limited hull cover, as is damage caused by neighbouring boats that have broken loose. What is not covered: inadequate mooring. A boat lying at the pontoon in October on summer lines does not have a storm problem, it has a precaution problem. Check the lines and shock absorbers before the autumn season and document this.
