How the place works
The Bay of Fundy has the largest tidal range in the world, over fifteen metres in places, and the current in the narrows matches it. Add fog from May to September, when warm air moves over cold water: visibility under a hundred metres is normal.
What breaks there
In fog what matters is what is running aboard: radar, AIS, fog signal, a lookout. If that is missing, gross negligence comes up after a collision. Add drying out on the ebb when the anchoring depth was measured at the wrong hour.
