How the place works
Shallow, murky water over wide areas, with a narrow buoyed channel and stone fields immediately alongside. You cannot see into the water, the echo sounder warns too late at three knots, and the level shifts with the wind between the lagoon and the Baltic.
What breaks there
Propeller, rudder blade and saildrive meet stones that no chart marks individually. On displacement boats it often stops at the propeller; on boats with a sterndrive the drive leg becomes the single most expensive part.
What this means for your policy
Check whether your hull cover includes the drive or only the hull, and whether machinery cover is part of it. It is exactly on that line between wear and damage that most cases here are decided.
