Good to know
Send your cancellation letter in a way that lets you prove it arrived, for example by registered post. Keep a copy until the insurer has confirmed the cancellation in writing, and chase them if nothing has come after two weeks.
Make sure the new cover is in place before the old one ends. A boat in the water without liability cover is a risk nobody wants to carry.
