How the place works
The Bodden is wide and shallow, large areas lie under two metres, and the water level depends on the wind rather than a tide: a sustained easterly pushes the water out and exposes edges that still carry water on the chart. In the Strelasund the narrow buoyed channel with current is added.
What breaks there
Touching bottom is routine here, usually without visible damage. That is precisely the problem: a bent rudder stock or a cracked keel root shows up weeks later, and by then the link to the incident is hard to prove.

Report every grounding at once, even when nothing is visible, and get it in writing that the inspection will be paid for. Anyone who reports the consequential damage later as a separate case negotiates from the weaker position.
