Where the two differ, the German text decides:
A-13.1.1 The maximum sum of cover per insured event is stated in your policy schedule. Per person liable to pay compensation, the indemnity is limited to 15,000,000 euros; where several persons are liable to pay compensation, however, the maximum sum of cover per insured event cannot be exceeded. For personal injury, the indemnity is limited to a flat 25,000,000 euros.
A-13.1.2 For clauses A-1.2 paragraph (5), A-1.4, A-10.5 and A-11.3, the sums insured named there apply per insured event and per insurance year. The insurer's indemnity payments for all insured events of an insurance year are limited to twice the agreed sums insured. (The German original refers to A-1.2 paragraph (5), which names no sum insured; the sum for skipper liability is set out in A-1.2 paragraph (4).) A-13.1.3 Several insured events occurring while the insurance is in force count as one insured event, occurring at the time of the first of those insured events, where they are based on the same cause or on identical causes with an internal connection, in particular a factual and temporal one.
A-13.1.4 to A-13.1.7: same wording in Liability Basis, clause A-11
