A-16 No claims discount, Watercraft Hull Insurance, Basis Plus

A-16.1 Where the previous contract in your name was claims free, or where you insure a new risk with us, we assume general freedom from claims and base the contract on the highest attainable no claims discount of 40 per cent. This is shown in the policy and its endorsements.
A-16.2 After a claim for which we have made indemnity payments or set up reserves, the no claims discount is reduced by 20 per cent as at the next main renewal date. Where there are two claims within one insurance year, the discount ceases from the next main renewal date.
A-16.3 Where cover existed continuously from the beginning to the end of an insurance year without an insured loss being reported in that time, the no claims discount increases by 10 per cent for each claims free insurance year. The highest attainable rate is 40 per cent.
A-16.4 Where the contract has run claims free for five years or longer, the downgrade is suspended for the first claim.
