7.4 Payment and consequences of late payment, first premium, Legal Expenses Insurance, Basis
Clause 7.4, Payment and consequences of late payment, first premium, from Legal Expenses Insurance, Basis, ARB WRS Basis (1-2025nam).
German law applies; only the German wording is binding.
This English text is a courtesy so you can read what you buy, not a contract document.
Where the two differ, the German text decides:
7.4.1 Due date of payment When you receive the policy schedule from us, you must pay the first premium without undue delay after the expiry of 14 days. ("Without undue delay" does not necessarily mean "immediately", but "without culpable hesitation, that is, as quickly as reasonably possible".) 7.4.2 Later start of cover If you pay the first premium at a later point in time, cover begins only from that later point in time. We must, however, have drawn your attention to this consequence of late payment, in text form (example: letter or email) or by a conspicuous notice in the policy schedule. If you prove to us that you are not responsible for the late payment, cover begins at the agreed point in time.
The premium for your own boat is one page away, with a price and without a form.
