Where the two differ, the German text decides:
We pay exclusively for the consequences of accidents. These are damage to health and its consequences caused by the accident event. We do not pay for the consequences of illnesses (for example diabetes or joint disease) or infirmities (for example malpositions of the spine, congenital shortening of tendons).
