B2-2.4 Cancellation on the onset of a need for long term care or of mental illness, Accident Premium

If, for the insured person,  a permanent need for long term care within the meaning of section 61a of Book XII of the German Social Code (SGB XII), or  a mental illness is established by a doctor, you may cancel the cover retrospectively to the time of that finding. A person is mentally ill who, owing to a permanent and severe mental or psychological illness, can no longer take part in general life and requires residential placement or constant supervision. We refund the premium for the person concerned on presentation of  the decision of the long term care fund granting a care grade, or  the confirmation from the health insurer of residential placement or constant attendance in the case of mental illness, from the time of the finding, but at most for the last three years.
