Float plan

Float plan for your shore contact, to print out

One A4 page for the person who stays at home. It describes the boat so that search and rescue recognise it from the air, lists everybody on board, the route with its timings and the equipment, and sets out from when the alarm is raised. Fill it in before you cast off and give the copy to somebody ashore, not into the boat.

Emergency sheet Report a claim

Only the sheet itself is printed, without the navigation and the footer. A working aid without legal force, no substitute for official regulations. The sheet holds personal data: please keep it only as long as the trip lasts.

A search costs time, and money

The more precise the description, the sooner search and rescue find your boat. Rescue of persons is covered up to €50,000 under the watersports accident cover; salvage and wreck removal under the hull cover up to €1m (Basis-Plus) and €2.5m (Premium). Give a copy of this sheet to somebody ashore, not into the boat.
