The Alliaura Marine programme comprises 38 model ranges. The Privilège cabin catamarans such as the 510 Signature, the 580 Signature and the 640 series have been built since 2017 and up to the present day, while the Feeling sailing yachts 32, 39 and 44 were built from 2002 to 2022. Catamarans and monohulls bring different values into the policy, and both can be covered at NAMMERT.
Anyone taking over a used Feeling or an older Privilège should clarify the replacement value before signing. Exactly this sum is agreed with us as an agreed value and is paid out in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online; above that an individual review follows.

What matters with a catamaran bought second hand?
The decisive factor is the agreed value. It is written into the policy as an agreed value and is replaced in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.
Does the cover also apply outside the main season?
Yes. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and while in transport.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
