Invictus; cover, cost and conditions
Inland lake or coast: the cruising range is one of the factors that determine the premium. The Invictus model ranges have been running since 2013 and are still built today, from the 190 FX to the 280 CX. Anyone who permanently changes waters should have the contract adjusted accordingly.
The catalogue lists 19 model ranges in total, among them the FX, HX, SX and CX models. The same structure applies to all of them: third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros as the basis, full hull cover with an agreed value on request, with no time window and no night clause.
An Invictus FX 200 is already sailing in our own portfolio. For trips abroad the international certificate of insurance is automatically available in ten languages. This way you can prove your cover outside Germany as well, without any translation effort.

Does the cruising range for an Invictus have to be defined when the policy is taken out?
Yes, the cruising range is a premium factor, as are the type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power. If the waters change permanently, we adjust the contract.
Is there a night clause in the hull insurance for an Invictus?
No, the hull insurance has neither a time window nor a night clause. It also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and while in transport.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
