Worth knowing
MS Marine; cover, cost and conditions
Two inflatable boats are in the MS Marine programme: the Grand S 370N with engine, in production since 2023, and the Fish 380 from 2019 to 2024. No details on sizes or origin are available. With boats of this kind, a considerable part of the value lies in the outboard.
The full hull cover from NAMMERT covers theft of parts including the outboard, plus collision, grounding and vandalism. Theft of the whole boat is already part of the limited hull cover, as are fire, storm, lightning strike and damage in winter storage.
Engine power is included in the premium alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The boat trailer is covered at no extra premium, and cover continues during launching, craning and while the boat is in transit. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the outboard of a Grand S 370N covered against theft?
In the full hull cover, theft of parts including the outboard is included. If the entire boat is stolen, the limited hull cover already applies.
Does the cover apply around the clock?
Yes. Cover also exists in winter storage, during craning, during launching and while the boat is in transit.

Nautical information What counts before you cast off, papers, equipment, waters
Licence
Required inland and at sea from 15 hp (11.03 kW); below that, none.
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; carry the boat certificate on maritime shipping routes.
Waters
Inland lakes, the coast and the Wadden Sea, mind the tide tables and the fairway.
Equipment
Lifejackets, paddles, pump, repair kit, anchor gear and signalling equipment.
Cruising range
RIBs close to the coast; check air pressure before every trip and after temperature swings.
Weather
From Beaufort 4 the ride turns hard, and offshore wind sharply raises the risk of drifting.
General guidance, not a complete account; what governs are the rules of the waters you are on and your boat’s manual. Current wind force and direction for your waters are shown on the Home.
Series by MS Marine, build years and cover
Grand S 370N is an inflatable with engine from MS Marine, built since 2023.
Fish 380 is an inflatable without engine from MS Marine, built from 2019 to 2024.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
Even without an engine the rule holds: a tear from impact or vandalism is covered, UV ageing is wear.
