Worth knowing
Qwest; cover, cost and conditions
We have no model ranges on file for Qwest. The type of boat is not established either, which is why we say nothing about it. That is no obstacle to insurance cover, because the premium is based on value, year of construction, cruising range and the size of the respective propulsion, never on the make.
The basis of every contract is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Limited hull cover and full hull cover build on it, the latter with an agreed value and compensation with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Small series and self-built boats can be insured as well, and we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. The trailer is included at no extra premium, and cover applies in winter storage, during craning, launching and on the transport route. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What applies if nothing is known about a manufacturer?
Cover does not depend on the make. We need details of value, year of construction, cruising range and propulsion, and then the contract can be issued. Small series and self-built boats can be insured as well.
Which losses does limited hull cover include?
Fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.
