F-One builds kites, wings, foils and boards in France and has in the Bandit one of the most widespread kites of all in its programme, plus Swing wings for the wingfoil sport, which has been the fastest development in water sports of recent years. Wingfoil sets are in the four-figure range and consist of several components.
In wingfoiling the foil carries the greatest value: mast, fuselage, front and rear wing in carbon, often in several sizes. These sets belong in the application as accessories with individual items. Damage to the foil in a grounding or collision is covered under full hull cover, delamination through ageing is not, and a replacement wing costs a considerable part of the value of the set.
The wing itself is the most sensitive part. A tear in the cloth after contact with the foil, the classic wingfoil damage, is an event and is covered. UV ageing and wear on the seams are not. Accident cover is important in this sport, because the foil under water is a source of injury.
