Remus boats are open motor boats of the 4 to 6 metre class, at home on inland lakes and close to the coast. The typical loss is not spectacular: berthing, launching, manoeuvring at the jetty. All three are cases for full hull cover; they are absent from limited hull cover.
For trailer use, transport, launching and craning are included with us, and the trailer is covered at no extra premium. Before every journey, check the lashing and the nose weight; a boat that has slipped on the motorway is the most expensive avoidable loss in a boat owner's life.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
Waters
Inland, coastal and abroad; plan fairways, bridge clearances, draught and tides.
Equipment
Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.

Remus 420 / 450 Open is a motorboat from Remus (Europa), built since 2005, and today changes hands at between €5,000 and €18,000.
Remus 450 SC / 470 is a motorboat from Remus (Europa), built since 2008, and today changes hands at between €7,000 and €24,000.
Remus 500 / 525 is a motorboat from Remus (Europa), built since 2010, and today changes hands at between €10,000 and €36,000.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
