Four model ranges bearing the name Airship are in the programme at Adaptive Composites, the 288, the 300 DS, the 310 and the 340. All four are inflatable boats with an engine and have been running since 2018 and still today. Anyone taking over such a boat second hand should establish the replacement value before the purchase, because full hull cover at NAMMERT is based on an agreed value.
With a current programme, new and used units are on the market side by side. Full hull cover indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit, and covers collision, grounding, vandalism as well as theft of parts including the outboard. In this way the agreed value remains the figure used in the event of a claim.
The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range, never on the brand. A boat of the 340 model range is therefore not rated differently because the name Airship is on the hull. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that we examine the individual case.

What matters when buying a used Airship?

Are the four Airship model ranges rated differently?
No. All four run as an inflatable boat with an engine. For the premium, the value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range of the individual boat count, not the number of the model range.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
