Worth knowing
Antaris; cover, cost and conditions
If you take over a used boat from the Antaris model ranges, you should establish its value before taking out the policy. The data lists motorboats and motor yachts, such as the Connery 29 since 2007 and the Seventy 7 in the Cabin, Sport and Touring versions. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
A total of 34 model ranges are recorded; individual ones such as the Seventy 5 were built between 2020 and 2024, while others continue to this day. An earlier year of construction does not rule out cover: we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, in the Premium tariff without any age limit in full hull cover.
We have no further information about the yard itself, neither on the country nor on size categories. This has no bearing on the premium, because it is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range, never on the brand. On request we will cancel your previous policy free of charge.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What does an agreed value mean for an older Antaris?
The agreed value is the value fixed in the policy that applies in the event of a claim. There is no deduction for depreciation (new for old), so with a repair or a total loss you will not face a reduction to current market value.
Does it matter that hardly any data is available on the yard?
No. It is the individual boat that is insured, not the manufacturer. Type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range determine the premium, including for small series and home-built boats.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
