Worth knowing
ARC Marine; cover, cost and conditions
Three motorboat ranges are recorded for ARC Marine: the Arc 500, the Arc 580 and the Arc 580c. Production runs from 2005 to 2020 and thus lies completed in the past. NAMMERT insures boats from those years regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
With boats whose construction period lies in the past, the valuation decides the amount of the compensation. Full hull cover from NAMMERT works with an agreed value and pays with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"); in the Premium tariff this applies without an age limit. In this way the agreed value remains sound even after many years.
The basis remains the third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. In addition, limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, the theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage, and full hull cover additionally covers collision and grounding.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does the year of construction 2005 change anything about the insurance cover?
The year of construction is factored into the premium, but does not exclude the cover. In the Premium tariff, full hull cover pays without an age limit and with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").
What determines the premium for a motorboat?
The type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. The name of the manufacturer is not part of the calculation, neither upwards nor downwards.

Series by ARC Marine, build years and cover
Arc 500 is a motorboat from ARC Marine, built from 2012 to 2020.
Arc 580 is a motorboat from ARC Marine, built from 2005 to 2020.
Arc 580c is a motorboat from ARC Marine, built from 2012 to 2020.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
