Worth knowing
Bennet; cover, cost and conditions
Two motor boats are recorded under this name, Baltic Star and Eurostar, both with years of construction from 1965 to 1975. No further details of size or construction are available, and we do not add anything that is not documented. Such boats are insured regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.
The basis of every policy is the boat third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, graded into the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. It applies when damage to someone else's property occurs in the harbour or on the water. Limited hull cover and full hull cover build on it but are not a prerequisite.
A boat from the years 1965 to 1975 no longer has a new value that could be applied. In full hull cover an agreed value is therefore set and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. We cancel an existing previous policy free of charge as part of the switching service.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What limit of indemnity is possible in the third-party liability cover?
Depending on the tariff level, between 10 and 50 million euros. Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium differ in the amount of cover and in the scope of the hull insurance.
How is the value of a boat from 1970 determined?
Through an agreed value that is set when the policy is taken out. In the event of a claim it is the basis of the compensation, which is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").

Series by Bennet, build years and cover
Baltic Star is a motorboat from Bennet, built from 1965 to 1975.
Eurostar is a motorboat from Bennet, built from 1965 to 1975.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
