Worth knowing
C-Katamarane; cover, cost and conditions
One cabin catamaran is recorded for C-Katamarane, the C-Cat 48 from the years 2018 to 2022. No further ranges are documented. For a multihull of this kind the same structure applies as for any other boat: third-party liability cover as the basis, and on top of it either limited hull cover or full hull cover.
Anyone travelling with a cabin catamaran is asked for papers as soon as a foreign port is entered. NAMMERT issues the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. The proof is therefore on board before the harbour office asks for it.
The premium is based on the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output or sail area and the cruising range, never on the brand. You can take out the policy online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros; above that an individual assessment follows. The agreed value under full hull cover is arranged bindingly in the process.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
In which languages is the certificate of insurance available?
In ten languages, automatically and without a separate request. The proof is thus available in foreign ports without your having to order it beforehand.
What is the premium for a C-Cat 48 based on?
On the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output or sail area and the cruising range. The brand itself does not enter into the calculation of the premium.

Series by C-Katamarane, build years and cover
C-Cat 48 is a cabin catamaran from C-Katamarane, built from 2018 to 2022.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
