An inflatable boat with an engine spends a lot of time on the trailer. At NAMMERT the trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, and the cover applies during launching, during craning and on the transport route. The hull insurance has no time window and no night clause.
From Castoldi we have the Jet Tender 16 on record, built from 2004 to 2011. No further model ranges are listed in our documents. For an inflatable boat with an engine the same rules apply as for larger units: the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine power and the cruising range determine the premium.
Full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Limited hull cover applies in the case of fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage. Underneath lies third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

Does the boat trailer need a policy of its own?
No, it is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. The route between the storage site and the slipway is thereby covered as well, and a second policy is not needed.
Does an inflatable boat with an engine count as a full boat?
Yes. The type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine power and the cruising range determine the premium. Third-party liability, limited hull cover and full hull cover are available in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels.

Jet Tender 16 is an inflatable with engine from Castoldi s.p.a., built from 2004 to 2011.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
