Worth knowing
Chasecraft; cover, cost and conditions
Inflatable boats with engine are part of the Chasecraft programme; the ranges 550 and 650 from the years of construction 1998 to 2005 are recorded. With this type of boat a substantial part of the value lies in the propulsion, and that can be removed. This makes theft of parts the central question in the policy.
The full hull cover includes theft of parts including the outboard. It is not always the entire boat that is stolen, but sometimes a single component. List the engine with its type and power in the schedule so that it is indemnified through the agreed value, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
A Chasecraft 550 can be moved on the trailer. The boat trailer is covered at no extra premium within the boat insurance, and the cover also applies during craning, during launching and while in transport. Theft of the entire boat already falls within the limited hull cover.

Series by Chasecraft, build years and cover
Chasecraft 550 is an inflatable with engine from Chasecraft, built from 1999 to 2005.
Chasecraft 650 is an inflatable with engine from Chasecraft, built from 1998 to 2004.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
