The years of construction available to us run from 1972 to 2010. We have no information on the country or the construction methods of the yard.
That changes nothing about the insurance cover. We insure irrespective of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the premium arises from the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range. At the beginning of every contract stands the third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.
When buying a used unit from such a broad programme, disputes can arise. For that, legal expenses cover for water sports can be included, which also applies to disputes with a yard. We will cancel an existing contract for you free of charge under our switching service.

Frequent questions
How high is the limit of indemnity in the third-party liability?
Depending on the tariff level it lies between 10 and 50 million euros. The third-party liability carries the contract, limited hull cover and full hull cover build on it, and club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards.
Is there help in a dispute after the purchase?
Legal expenses cover for water sports can be included. It applies to disputes after buying a used boat just as it does to disputes with a yard.

On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
