A change of insurer often founders on cancelling the previous policy. NAMMERT handles that free of charge. Three model ranges are recorded for Dawncraft: the Dawncraft 32 of the years 1977 to 1984 as well as the Wanderer 600 and the Wanderer 700, both with years of construction from 1973 to 1980.
All three ranges are motor boats whose production ended long ago. That is of no significance for cover, because NAMMERT insures regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. An agreed value is set, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without an age limit.
The basis includes third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, limited hull cover adds fire, storm, lightning strike and damage in winter storage.

How does switching to NAMMERT work?
NAMMERT cancels the existing policy free of charge. You state the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, and the switching service takes care of the rest.
Does a Dawncraft 32 remain insurable despite its age?
Yes. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners are no obstacle to cover. The agreed value applies in the Premium tariff without an age limit and is paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").
