Worth knowing
Dyna Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Four model ranges from the years 2003 to 2012 are recorded, and they cover very different types of craft: an inflatable boat, a motor boat, a motor yacht and a sailing yacht. For each of these types we provide the same basic cover, from third-party liability through limited hull cover to full hull cover.
Anyone who is already insured and wants to switch does not have to take care of the cancellation themselves. NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge. The new policy starts with one of the tariff levels Basis, Basis-Plus or Premium and third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.
Because production ended in 2012, the boats are second or third hand. That is no criterion for us: we provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Under full hull cover the agreed value applies with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does NAMMERT take care of cancelling the old policy?
Yes. In the switching service we cancel the previous policy free of charge. You then choose the tariff level Basis, Basis-Plus or Premium for the new policy.
Can an inflatable boat and a sailing yacht be insured equally?
Yes, both types can be insured. The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction as well as engine output or sail area and the cruising range, never on the brand.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for inflatables and RIBs is the same across every brand; engine output, how a claim is settled, cruising range and theft protection. The class page lists every point and every brand in this class.

Nautical information What counts before you cast off, papers, equipment, waters
Licence
Required inland and at sea from 15 hp (11.03 kW); below that, none.
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; carry the boat certificate on maritime shipping routes.
Waters
Inland lakes, the coast and the Wadden Sea, mind the tide tables and the fairway.
Equipment
Lifejackets, paddles, pump, repair kit, anchor gear and signalling equipment.
Cruising range
RIBs close to the coast; check air pressure before every trip and after temperature swings.
Weather
From Beaufort 4 the ride turns hard, and offshore wind sharply raises the risk of drifting.
General guidance, not a complete account; what governs are the rules of the waters you are on and your boat’s manual. Current wind force and direction for your waters are shown on the Home.
Series by Dyna Yachts, build years and cover
Dyna 290 is an inflatable without engine from Dyna Yachts, built from 2003 to 2012.
Dyna 690 is a motorboat from Dyna Yachts, built from 2003 to 2012.
Dyna 850 is a motor yacht from Dyna Yachts, built from 2003 to 2012.
Dyna 607 is a sailing yacht from Dyna Yachts, built from 2003 to 2009.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
Even without an engine the rule holds: a tear from impact or vandalism is covered, UV ageing is wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
