Worth knowing
Effelle; cover, cost and conditions
The list for Effelle names four ranges of inflatable boats with engines: Command E 57, Navy E 68, Nembo E 51 and Seals E 75, all with build periods from 2005 to 2012. On boats with a fixed drive the engine power is one of the factors from which the premium results.
Added to this are type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The brand stays out of it, so a boat is rated by its data and not by the name on the hull. You can take out cover online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, and above that we examine the individual case.
The drive itself is covered by hull insurance: full hull cover covers theft of parts including the outboard, as well as collision, grounding and vandalism. In winter storage, during craning and during launching the protection likewise remains in place.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What changes if I fit a more powerful engine?
The engine power is one of the premium factors. Report a change so that the premium and the sum insured continue to match the boat and the agreed value is correct.
Is damage during launching covered?
Yes. The protection applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and in transit.

Series by Effelle, build years and cover
Command E 57 is an inflatable with engine from Effelle, built from 2005 to 2012.
Navy E 68 is an inflatable with engine from Effelle, built from 2005 to 2012.
Nembo E 51 is an inflatable with engine from Effelle, built from 2005 to 2012.
Seals E 75 is an inflatable with engine from Effelle, built from 2005 to 2012.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
