EK Marine is listed with 15 models between 6.6 and 8.6 m, twelve of them RIBs. The Hitek series covers sizes 65, 75 and 85, each in versions such as C, Cabin, Rescue and Taxi. The Sea Rider 7.0 is added as a motorboat. Production has run since 2003 and continues today.
RIBs of this size carry strong engines and, judging by the model names, are also used professionally, for instance as a taxi or in rescue service. The type of use decides the rating and has to be stated in the application, because commercial operation is a different matter from private leisure use. Hull, tubes, engines and electronics together make up the value, so an agreed value is the clearer basis here.

Commercial use is possible but has to be declared explicitly. Carrying passengers places different demands on third party liability than private trips.

Both engines belong in the stated value. With strong engines the cruising area should also be named precisely.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
