Worth knowing
Fevik; cover, cost and conditions
After buying a used boat, disputes often only arise weeks later. Legal expenses cover for water sports is therefore offered alongside, also for disputes with a shipyard. For Fevik two motor boat ranges are on record, the Nordisk Sport 715 from 1983 to 1997 and the Fevik 23 from 1987 to 1994.
Because production lies in the past, such boats change hands on the used market. Insurance is provided regardless of year of build, place of purchase and previous owners, and in full hull cover an agreed value applies with indemnity paid with no deduction for depreciation, new for old, in the Premium tariff without any age limit.
Limited hull cover bears fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage, and full hull cover additionally collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Existing contracts are cancelled free of charge by the switching service.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does an insurance policy help with a dispute after the purchase?
Legal expenses cover for water sports is offered alongside and applies in disputes following the purchase of a used boat or with a shipyard. It supplements third-party liability, which remains the basis of the cover.
What happens to the previous owner's contract?
You take out your own contract. If another boat insurance policy is still running in your name, the switching service cancels the old contract free of charge.

Series by Fevik, build years and cover
Nordisk Sport 715 is a motorboat from Fevik, built from 1983 to 1997.
Fevik 23 is a motorboat from Fevik, built from 1987 to 1994.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
