HopYacht; cover, cost and conditions
As a cabin catamaran, the HopYacht 30 is the only range on record, built from 2018 to 2022. With young boats too, the value is agreed as an agreed value, so that compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and no age limit applies in the Premium tariff.
Full hull cover additionally covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. The time ashore is thus covered too.
Since production ended in 2022, the boats come via the second-hand market. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. The basis is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, and the policy is taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros.

Like every other boat, by type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area or engine power respectively and cruising range. The brand does not enter into it; the type of construction is recorded when the boat is taken on.
Does cover also apply during craning?

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

Series by HopYacht, build years and cover
HopYacht 30 is a cabin catamaran from HopYacht, built from 2018 to 2022.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
