We have no model ranges on file for Mercury-Trading. Neither types of boat nor construction periods are recorded, and we add nothing here that cannot be substantiated. For the insurance that is no obstacle, because it is the individual boat that is insured and not the brand.

The premium depends on type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range. Whether the manufacturer appears in a database plays no part. Small production runs and home-built boats can also be insured, as can boats whose origin is not documented.

At the beginning stands third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Limited hull cover and full hull cover can be built on top of it, the latter with an agreed value and compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you conclude the contract online.

Yes, we accept small production runs and home-built boats. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the value is set as an agreed value.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

Registration

Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

Waters

Inland, coastal and abroad; plan fairways, bridge clearances, draught and tides.

Equipment

Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.

Cruising range

The agreed cruising range is stated in the policy and can be extended at any time.

Weather
