Monachus Boatyard; cover, cost and conditions
Three ranges have been running since 2019 and continue today: the motor yacht Monachus 70 and the motorboats Issa 45 and Pharos 43. This is therefore current production. We take new boats into full hull cover with an agreed value, and indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
When a boat newly joins the household, an old policy is often still running. Our switching service takes the cancellation off your hands: NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge. The new cover follows on so that no gap arises, neither at the berth nor on the transport route.
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that an individual assessment follows. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. For trips abroad the certificate is enclosed in ten languages.

How do I switch to NAMMERT with a Monachus 70?
Through the switching service: we cancel the previous policy free of charge and let the new cover follow on from it, so that no gap arises for the boat.
Can the policy for a new boat be taken out online?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, yes. Above that limit we assess the individual case. In both cases an agreed value applies under full hull cover.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
