A dispute after buying a boat can seldom be settled on your own. One model range is recorded for Mxgrade, the Hobby 460 SC motor boat, built since 2023 and up to the present day. We also offer legal expenses cover for water sports, which applies to disputes after the purchase of a used boat or with a shipyard.
Further details of the programme are not available to us. For a boat from current production we set an agreed value so that compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range.
A boat of this kind often stands on a trailer. The trailer is covered at no extra premium, and cover applies during craning and launching, while the boat is being transported and in winter storage. Full hull cover additionally includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.

Series by Mxgrade, build years and cover
Hobby 460 SC is a motorboat from Mxgrade, built since 2023.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
