Worth knowing
Noard; cover, cost and conditions
No model ranges are documented for this yard. It therefore remains open which types of boat or periods of construction lie behind it, and we do not add anything. A boat can nevertheless be insured, because we provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, including small series and home builds.
Where there is no reliable yard history, the value is simply agreed as an agreed value. It applies in the event of a total loss, without any need to prove a current market value. There is no deduction for depreciation, and in the Premium tariff the age limit for the boat is also waived.
If a dispute with the seller or the yard arises after the purchase of a used boat, the legal expenses cover for water sports that we also offer will help. For ongoing operation, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros as well as limited or full hull cover form the framework of the policy.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What applies if no data is available on the yard?
For the insurance this is irrelevant. The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range, never on the brand.
Does the legal expenses cover also apply to a dispute with a yard?
The legal expenses cover for water sports is offered alongside and covers disputes after the purchase of a used boat as well as with a yard. It supplements third-party liability and hull insurance.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.
