Four ranges of cabin catamarans are on record: Nusser 21 Tiki, Nusser 26 Tiki, Teuton 27 and Teuton 47, each with a build period from 2002 to 2012. Production lies in the past, and the boats pass into new hands second-hand today. That brings valuation in the event of a claim to the fore.
Small series and self-built boats can be insured. Under full hull cover an agreed value is set, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and, in the Premium tariff, without any age limit. The value is thus fixed before the loss and is not scaled down afterwards.
We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. For the premium what counts is the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area or engine power respectively and cruising range, never the brand. Legal expenses cover for water sports can be added for disputes after buying a used boat.

How is a catamaran from 2005 valued?
