The third-party liability is the basis in all tariff levels and ranges, depending on Basis, Basis-Plus or Premium, from 10 to 50 million euros limit of indemnity. It takes effect for damage that you cause to others with the boat and applies regardless of whether the boat was taken over new or used.
Hull cover is added when the owner's own boat is to be protected: limited hull cover for fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and winter storage damage, full hull cover additionally for collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.

Is third-party liability without hull cover sufficient?
That depends on the boat. The third-party liability covers damage to third parties; for damage to your own boat you need limited or full hull cover with an agreed value and compensation with no deduction for depreciation.
How quickly is a newly built boat insured?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that we examine each case individually. If a contract is already running, NAMMERT cancels the old policy free of charge.
